Terms of Service for Kairo

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Kairo mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Kairo is a productivity application that provides:

• Task management and organization
• Custom task templates
• Focus timer (Pomodoro technique)
• Productivity analytics and insights
• Activity feed and history tracking
• Daily planning features
• Smart reminders and notifications
• Calendar integration
• Notes with version history
• Other productivity-related features

3. Use of the App

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to the App
• Use the App to transmit any malicious code or harmful content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

3.2 Account Responsibility

If you create an account (for cloud sync features):

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

4. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Kairo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or store using the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and process your content to provide the service
• Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the App

6. Prohibited Content

You agree not to store or use the App to manage content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or violates any laws
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains viruses or malicious code
• Is defamatory, harassing, or abusive
• Violates privacy rights of others

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the App will meet your specific requirements
• That defects will be corrected
• Availability of cloud sync features

8. Data and Privacy

• Your data is stored locally on your device by default
• Optional cloud sync features may store data on third-party servers (Firebase)
• We respect your privacy as outlined in our Privacy Policy
• You are responsible for backing up your data
• We are not liable for data loss

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App (if any)
• We are not responsible for any loss of data or productivity

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kairo and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity (for cloud accounts)

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

• Posted in the App
• Effective immediately upon posting
• Notified through the App (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:
